We just finished up a quite fun bowl contest at the Yard in Palm springs. Thanks to everyone for showing up, skating and pitching in to help make it one to remember! Extra special thanks to Jeremiah Risk for hosting us, Luke McCool and Orland Welsh for Mc’ing it, Dale for DJ’ing, and momma Greenwood for helping register/raffle etc. So many more of you pitched in I can’t name everybody but THANK YOU!!

I’ve posted the results here

Sk8board Nation should be adding a video piece of the contests by the end of the year, we’ll let you all know when its up.

I’ve re-added the 2015 results back to the site (more to go..) Pedlow, Fontana, The Cove, The Yard, Vans. I’ve been adding tags to everything lately too so they are starting to get filled up and connecting all the similar people and places.

More big news! SoCal is going to also have a Ghost Jam at Jeremiah Risk’s backyard palace called the Yard! October 16 is the day, but Jeremiah welcomes camping in the backyard if you want to come early or chill after the contest. I’m sure a Nude Bowl session is likely to pop up, so spend a nice weekend in Palm Springs. Oh yeah, we’re hoping for a Deathrace to go down too.

5/18/2021

Big News, we are going to have some action this year after all. Starting with this Ghost Jam at the Beeble Bowl for Norcal! Thanks to the Bibelheimers for having us once again! Just OGJammers getting together to skate and have fun. No Contest, No Points, just fun, and may a longest carve contest for some extra fun.

2/23/2021

Hi, it’s been a while. We have been secluded avoiding the Covid-19 and didn’t expect this to still be an issue. This years competition series doesn’t look good, but we are hoping to throw so ‘Ghost Jam’s’ before the years end.

The website has been down a long time, sorry about that, but we’re not going anywhere. It’s now back live but getting the old content back into this new system. We’ll keep you informed when we have new information to share.

3/24/2020

ATTENTION: OGJAM Series Members

We’ve been hard at work planning this years event dates for both SoCal and NorCal.

In an effort to assess the impact of COVID-19 we may need to postpone the season start dates into July or August. We will announce the series schedule as soon as we’re confident everyone’s health will not be put at risk.

Thanks to all of our OG members for your continued support during this challenging time.

Keep ruling everyone!!!

DATE CHANGE

The 2019 OGJAM Series Final: Norcal Versus SoCal is in San Luis Obispo on November 16

Saturday is way easier for most of us and the city actually allowed us to move it to Saturday so that’s what we’re doing.

Some things to know:
The Series Points for NorCal and Socal end at the 4th stop for each series (The Yard for SoCal and Beeble Bowl for NorCal). Awards for Overall in each division and a grand Champion trophy will be awarded. The Final will be a one off event where NorCal skaters and Socal Skaters will compete in the same divisions together and points will be awarded for placing 1-10th place. All divisions will be tallied up with points going to your declared Series, NorCal or SoCal, and the side with the most points wins the OGJam Series Cup (and bragging rights of course). So get your rippers to skate in this one!!! Each Division will also be awarded 1st through 3rd place as usual.

Goat Bowl or Bust.

We are heading to NorCal for the first time on Saturday if you didn’t already know. If you want to call and ask for practice here is Gavins Phone #
Gavin Pierce – Mobile (707) 816-9491
ADDRESS is 20400 5th St W, Sonoma, CA 95476-7523

Please be totally respectful of Gavin and his home! He is graciously letting us have this OGJam in his back yard, and these are usually a little more fun then a skatepark. Official Start time is 2pm but we usually start with open practice and then move to The first age group which is the 50-59 division.

Fontana was a great time for certain. We got the results posted here: https://ogjamseries.com/results/180-2019-socal-stop-1-fontana-skatepark if you haven’t seen them on Facebook yet.

We know you have all been waiting to find out who won the Grand Prize at the Ladies Venice beach Jam, so the winner is Dailynn Halub! She will get to spend a week at the YMCA Camp Sequoia skating her brains out. Thank you for all your support for the Grand Prize, especially Todd Larson at Elemental Awareness and Gustavo Lopez-Noriega at YMCA Camp Sequoia.

The main flyer received another update with our final SoCal stop at Vans Skatepark in Huntington Beach added and a couple more sponsors added. (please share the new one and not the old ones)

Were going to be printing up a lot more membership cards and might get some in the mail before our next events. If you haven’t already, you need to mail in your head shot or skate shot to heidi@skateparkassociation.org (1inch by 1inch @ 300 dpi is best)

5/15/2019

We are just a couple days away from kicking of the SoCal Division series in Fontana. We’ve got our whole series flyer almost filled out with sponsors and dates, but there are a few more coming. You can find it on our homepage or the 2019 Events Link.

If you hadn’t already noticed we are not going to be FREE this year…. we know it sucks but its really a small fee. We have two levels Bare Bones ($15) and Broken Bones ($29) and they both cover entry into all 8 events (and Final if you make it). There are more details here on our MEMBERSHIP PAGE as well as a link to get signed up.

I also forgot to mention one other item we a taking on this year. We are charging a Membership fee this year so we have insurance at all of our events. It looks like the price will be $29.00 for a year and covers your entry to all our events. It also looks like will will be able to have a one day fee of $15 if you plan on only entering one event. We are working out several details on the the membership package and it will be well worth the money! More details and a sign up link will be provided really soon.

Hello, its been a while. Our team is currently working hard on bringing us all together for another great year in 2019! This year we will be seeing a few changes
1) We are expanding to Norcal for sure! We are happy to welcome Brandon Fields from Old Bones Therapy, and Jeff Hedges, one of the legendary vertical skateboarders, to the planning team. They’ll be handling most of the Norcal production work.
2) We are enlisting sponsors for both Norcal and Socal so if you know anyone who’d be interested in co-promoting there products with the OGJAM, please send them our way.
3) We will only be having 4 contest in Socal and 4 in Norcal for the Mens Divsions. We will also have a Norcal vs. Socal final at a location TBD somewhere in the middle and the top overall skaters in each division will get the invite to compete in the California showdown.
4) Ladies Venice OGJam is set for Saturday April 27th. More details coming shortly.
OG Jam Series 2019 Dates and Times

11/27/2018

Hi OGJAM, We have a few announcements to make.

1st we have to humbly apologize to both Jonathan ‘Shreddy’ Marino and Jeff Mogs for the egregious error I (Jeff Greenwood) made in the 2018 Overall Series Champion award. You will notice that in fact Jeff Mogs scored the most points this year and should have received the Overall Series Cup. We are all truly sorry for the mistake and hope to never see one like this again. We are adding a Cup for 2nd and swapping that out with Shreddy this week and getting Mogs the 1st Place Cup.

2nd, we want to officially get the word out about our hope to expand into Norcal this upcoming year 2019 and have a separate series of events in Northern California. We’ve enlisted Brandon Fields (Old Bones Therapy) as the point man for organization and Jeff Hedges for Sponsorships. Please contact Brandon, Ffej, Heidi, or Jeff Greenwood if you think you can help us with any logistics. We are initially looking at 4 events in each Series (Northern / Southern) and then the top OG’s competing in a head to head somewhere in the middle to claim the states bragging rights. There’s lots of work to do and we need your help.

3rd (lastly) – Any of you competitors who did not receive a 2018 t-shirt can have one mailed to you directly (as supplies last). I even have a few women’s sizes. Please Direct Message Jeff Greenwood directly or via OGjamseries or email with your address and preferred shirt size. I’ll drop them in the mail this week.

Jeff G.

As you probably know by now we got rained out at Fontana. We are re-scheduled for Saturday Oct 27th beginning at 11:30am. Forecast is for hot weather 91 degrees high, bring an Easy-up if you got one for shade. We hope you can make it. PS there is a Halloween Party at the Yard after the contest. We are endorsing it and will give you 50 series points if you attend and skate. Just post a photo of you there to Instagram or Facebook and hashtag #ogjamseries.

5/31/2018

We had some fun at Pedlow a couple weekends ago with a Ghost Jam BBQ. Second most notably skaters who showed up and took a couple runs got a little 25 point bonus for the overall series points. The Most notable happening there was Charlie King smoked the competition in the longest carve contest where winner takes all. Well done Sir!

Here’s the events listings for 2018. We have 3 weeks tile the Series begins at Skatelab Skatepark in Simi Valley. There’s a regular Thursday Old Guy night there that is frequented by several OG Skaters (including myself – Jeff Greenwood). So come join us for a little practice if you can brave the midweek traffic.
